In another seedy case of illegal prescriptions, Dr. John Rew has been indicted on 10 charges of illegally prescribing pain and anti-anxiety medications to patients, including the deceased wrestler Brian “Crush” Adams.
The former WWF/WCW star died in the summer of 2007 from an overdose of pain killers and anti-depressants, which effectively relaxed his system to failure.
One of the main issues surrounding the premature deaths of pro wrestlers are the doctors which feed the wrestlers’ addictions. Although there are obviously ways to obtain whatever you want in this world, if doctors were more stringent with their prescriptions wrestlers are less likely to become addicted to pain medication in the first place.
John Rew faces up to 20 years in federal prison. He is currently 83 years old.

I am/was a patient of Dr Rew and he is the ONLY Dr willing to work with me and figure out what meds were best for me. I went from being home with chronic pain and not being able to even go grocery shopping. Since working with the good Dr. the pain is bearable. NOTHING can take away all of the pain but he doeshis best to get his patients comfortable. In my case I have been working for years now and i'm able to play with my babies, not to mention sleep at night. "Crush" must have overdone it, and self medicated himself. if I'm smart enough to know If I overdo my meds I could O.D. It's people the sell their meds and people that drink or take too many even mixed with other drugs that make it harder for thr cronic pain sufferers like myself and almost every one of Dr Rew's patients. This Dr. is a rare breed, one that will STAND UP for the rights of others as most Dr's are scared because of threats by the DEA. The DEA should bump up border security where the real drugs that are killing our youth through to soccer moms. Leave our Dr's alone to do the job the took an oath for. /end of rant...........
