Country singer Vern Gosdin dies at age 74

Singer Vern Gosdin, who recorded country music hits like the award-winning "Chiseled in Stone" during a 30-year career, has died. He was 74.

Michael Illobre, funeral director at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Nashville, says Gosdin was under hospice care and died late Tuesday at an area hospital.

This man had one of the best voices in country music and was genuinely a nice man.

May he rest in peace.

End To An Era?

Another day, another sad headline for the magazine industry. The New York Post is reporting Source Interlink, is expected to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection.

According to the article, the move will help Source Interlink get out from under almost $1 billion in debt, mostly stemming from the company's acquisition of Prmedia's Enthusiast Media Group, which held Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly, among other titles.

The internet seems to be providing us with all the information we need, and newspapers (especially left wing newspapers) and magazines are going to soon be a thing of the past.

But then, that's only my opinion

Vince Pulls Live Prank On Jim Ross With Santina Segment

In classic Vince McMahon fashion, Jim Ross was not told ahead of time about the segment at Backlash where a cross dressed Santino Marella, aka Santina, announced his love for the legendary announcer.

McMahon has a history of “ribbing” Jim Ross and the segment was completely for Vince’s personal entertainment. At the time the Oklahoman could well have believed that Marella may try and lock lips with him! After all Vince did pull things out of a replica JR ass on TV.

Although the happily married straight laced Ross appeared a little annoyed on air, he’ll probably just take it on the chin; however one has to wonder why the owner of the company would go out of his way to humiliate the promotion’s top announcer, especially when Tazz only recently departed, and Mick Foley left due to Vince’s antics before that.

Playboy Buddy Rose Dies

Former WWF and Portland Wrestling star Playboy Buddy Rose (Paul Perschmann) was found dead by his wife on Tuesday afternoon.

Rose, who was extremely heavy in 2005, had been dealing with diabetic issues in recent years.

Rose originally broke into the business in the old Verne Gagne AWA, having been trained by Gagne and famed shooter Billy Robinson. He went on to become a true star heel for Don Owens' Portland Wrestling.

In his 2002 autobiography, Roddy Piper credited Rose for helping put him on the map in the Portland area, providing him a forum to hone his interview skills and become a true main eventer. Piper noted in the book that Rose invited him to come work the territory. Piper initially turned him down as he had been working regularly in Los Angeles, then reconsidered and took the job, setting him off to stardom.

Rose worked for the WWF at different points in his career. He was pushed as a top heel at one point in the late 1970s, including a series of matches against then-WWF champion Bob Backlund.

Rose also wrestled on the first Wrestlemania event as the masked Executioner, losing to Tito Santana in the opening contest, becoming the answer to an immediate trivia question.

Rose's final run with WWF was as an undercard comedy heel who was out of shape, setting the stage for the infamous "Blowaway Diet" vignettes. During that run, he mostly worked comedic opening matches on house show, playing off his weight by doing jumping jacks and other exercises while on offense. The vignettes were so silly they ended up becoming memorable among fans.

Rose, who was considered a good talker and great bumper, also held the AWA World Tag Team championships with Doug Somers in 1986, defeating Scott Hall and the late Curt Hennig. They later dropped the belts to the then-Midnight Rockers, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty.

What is believed to be Rose's last match took place at the first WrestleReunion convention event in Tampa, Florida in January 2005. Rose, long-time close friend Col. DeBeers (Ed Wiskoski) and Bob Orton lost to Jimmy Valiant, Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka in what was billed as Valiant's retirement match.

In recent years, Rose maintained an official website at www.playboybuddyrose.com. The website had noted that Rose was working on a book, although how far into the writing process he was I can't confirm at this time.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Only 4 days away from catching a plane to the Philippines to marry my fiancée and now I am doing all my last minute shopping for the necessities for the trip.

Would you believe luggage is still on my list? I can be so scatter brained at times. Well, I have been surfing online to get an idea of what style I would want or size and style.

Linda Hogan Looking To Cash In On Hulk's "O.J" Comments

Earlier this month, Hogan Hogan made tabloid headlines when he told Rolling Stone magazine that after the latest round of divorce proceedings, he empathizes with O.J. Simpson. Hogan told Rolling Stone, "I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody's throat. You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand O.J I get it."

Now, TMZ.com reports that Linda Hogan is looking to cash in on Hulk's poor choice of words. This afternoon, Linda filed papers in Pinellas County, Florida claiming she is in "imminent danger of becoming a victim" and needs an additional $8,200 a month from Hulk so she can move "thousands of miles away" from him.

Linda is also asking for $24,000 for "advanced rent and security deposits" so she can find a new home in California - where, as TMZ points out, O.J. allegedly killed his wife.

Two words - "Gold Digger", but that only my opinion.

Swine Flu

I'm sad to report that the first US swine flu related death has occured to a s3 month old child in Houston, Texas.

President Barack Obama said this morning that Americans should know the government is doing all it can to control virus. Obama also says schools should consider closing if the spread of the swine flu virus worsens.

From everything I have read and listened to on television it seems to be very important to wash your hands several times through out the day.

This thing has hit 7 countries now and seems to be spreading, seems a great time for me to be traveling internationally, but nothing will stand in my way of getting married to my girl.

Danny Bonaduce has stated on his radio show that when his contract from CCW ends, which should be in October, that there's a good chance that he would be back working with TNA. Jeff Jarrett has reportedly said that the door is open for Bonaduce to return.

Todd Bridges (CCW talent) has continued to wrestle after the show, working regularly for Fog City Wrestling in San Francisco, California.

Reid Flair Arrested

According to WSOC-TV out of Charlotte, Reid Flair, son of Ric Flair, was arrested on Sunday night. Flair is now facing felony charges as he was pulled over for driving while impaired, and also for driving with a license that had previously been revoked due to a prior arrest. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police found heroin in his vehicle, which is where the felony charge comes into play.

- According to Pwinsider.com, Reid Flair was charged with the following charges:

* Driving while impaired - $2,500 bond
* Driving with a revoked license - $2,000 bond
* Felony possession of heroin - $10,000 bond
* Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia - $500 bond

- Reid Flair was bonded out for a total of $15,000.

Britain Really Does Have Talent!

Britain's Got talent is really pulling out all of the stops when it comes to really talented singers.

First there was Susan Boyle and her awesome voice hid behind her somewhat clumsy persona and then there came along Shaheen the young boy that can really hot the notes, and now the little ballerina Hollie Steel comes out with what can only be described as an angelic voice makes her way onto the stage.

For once I am impressed by a karaoke contest and I don't even get to see it!

But then, that's only my opinion.

How Stupid..

Well according to Access Hollywood Rihanna and Chris Brown are now living together, so friends I would be expecting to hear about another beating that he will give her in the next few months.

I will never understand why any woman would put herself in that position especially after already recieving one beating! I wish someone would explain this to me and make me understand!

I would like to be able to feel sorry for her if it happens to her again (and I probably will) but it will be hard to knowing that she has stepped right into the punch.

But thats only my opinion.

Tool Time!

I am getting married on may 16th in the Philippines and then I will start cutting through the red tape in order to bring her here to the states to live with me.

Before I do this though I will have to be doing some home improvements around our house to make sure that she feels at home here as well.

Aerosmith Paying The Price?

Looks like Aerosmith will be playing a free show in Hawaii for 8,300 people left in the cold when the band canceled a sold-out concert in 2007.

In order to settle a class action lawsuit fild by fans who alleged the band pulled out of the show in favor of a larger concert in Chicago and a more lucrative private performance for Toyota dealers on Oahu.

Everyone who bought a ticket to the original concert will receive a free ticket, and all out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed regardless of the amount.

Wish i would have had tickets to that one!

Bea Arthur Dies

Bea Arthur passed away this weekend, she died peacefully at her home in the Greater Los Angeles Area in the early morning hours of April 25, 2009, aged 86.

She had been suffering from cancer.

Most remember her from her role on the "Golden Girls" or in the title role in "Maude" but her best was playing Maude in "All In The Family", was so funny watching her duel with Archie.

May she rest in peace.

- Christian defeated “The All-American American” Jack Swagger to win the ECW Championship.

- After locking the WWE Legend in the Walls of Jericho, Chris Jericho defeated Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat by making him submit.

- Kane proved too much for CM Punk. Using a brutal chokeslam, the Big Red Monster crushed Mr. Money in the Bank.

- Jeff Hardy made his brother say “I Quit” after preparing to leap onto him as he lay bound to a table. After Matt uttered the match-ending words, Jeff showed no mercy, smashing him through the table anyway.

- A wild and crazy edition of the Khali Kiss Cam, involved Beth Phoenix, J.R. and Santina Marella. The mayhem ended with The Great Khali ripping Marella’s bra off.

- After punting Triple H in the head, Randy Orton became the new WWE Champion.

With everything this country is going through, from the economy to President Obama (I still have a hard time typing that) shaking hands with Chavez and bowing to the Saudi King, now we have to deal with the Swine Flu all over again.

Now 40 cases in the US and lord only knows how many in Mexico.

Perhaps now is the time to gusrd that border if for nothing else to make sure this disease doesnt spread any more then it already has.

But then, that's only my opinion.

Rihanna Wants Her "Bling" Back

Rihanna is seeking the return of $1.4 million in jewelry she was wearing the night she was allegedly beaten by Chris Brown.

Donald Etra, an attorney for the "Umbrella" singer, filed a motion Tuesday asking that Los Angeles police and prosecutors return a pair of earrings and three rings, which were seized as evidence.


The jewelry was part of the ensemble that Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was wearing when Brown allegedly beat her while driving home from a pre-Grammy party.



I still try to grasp the Hollyweird mentality as to why anyone would wear jewelry worth over a million dollars. Do you know what you can do with that money instead? Charity, ladies and gentlemen, charity.

IRON MAN

Terrence Howard is not pleased he was replaced in the "Iron Man" sequel over a reported salary dispute.

"Marvel made a choice, and it was a very, very bad choice," the actor -- whose role was given to Don Cheadle -- tells Parade.com. "They didn't keep their word. They didn't honor my contract."

Howard says producers didn't share the profits of the flick -- which earned over $318million -- with most of the actors.
"They produced a great bounty with the first one, but they put it all in the storehouse and you were not allowed in,"

The only person who got a raise?

"They did it with everyone but Robert Downey [Jr]," fumes Howard. "One of the things that actors need to do is always stick together: one for all, and all for one."

Even though he's upset, he's not spilling any details from the anticipated sequel.

'Brooke Knows Best' Is Back

VH-1 has announced that "Brooke Hogan Knows Best" will be coming back for another season. Here's a snippet from the news release they sent out regarding the show:

Also returning to VH1 is "Brooke Knows Best" which follows Brooke Hogan and her roommates Glenn and Ashley on their new adventures living single and solo in Miami. As Brooke gets more comfortable living on her own, she continues to take on more responsibilities for her career and life away from her family. Her dad Hulk Hogan is still very protective of his little girl and continues to check in on her, but he is beginning to see her as a young woman with a life of her own. Linda and Brooke also look to repair the ever widening riff between them brought on by Hulk and Linda's divorce. New series will premiere in Spring 2009.

I'm going to get a little political here, and it's only because I am worried about the direction President Obama seems to be taking our country in. I'll try to make this short and to the point as I am not good with names and such, but...

Why in the world is THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA bowing to a Saudi King? Or shaking hands with Hugo Chavez?

I mean it was bad enough the company that he kept before winning the election (Rev. Wright, Bill Aires, etc..) but let's face it he is president now, the US President should bow to no one or shake hands with a ruthless dictator.

Yes, I am worried, but that's only my opinion.

TNA Stars On The Way Out

TNA seem to have made the decision to let several wrestlers contracts expire. They include Roxxi, Rhaka Khan, Kip James and Jackie Moore. You’ll notice they haven’t been used in several weeks.

Perhaps the most surprising is Roxxi, who went as far as to shave her head for the company.

With Kip James, it’s a case that his contract no longer reflects his drawing power.

Rhaka Khan, apart from not having a clue in the ring has some backstage heat for her attitude, and she is no longer dating Kurt Angle so…

And Jackie Moore’s character seems to have just ran its course. They see her as an unnecessary paycheck.

To keep the product fresh they want to cycle talent every year or so, and these are the top candidates right now. And there is also of course Bobby Lashley’s contract to pay.

Jay Leno Hospitalized

Leno checked himself into the hospital yesterday of an undisclosed illness that his reps describe as a "mild" condition. He also canceled tapings for the Tonight Show, but he plans to be back to work next week st the show.

The network planned to air a rerun of the show Thursday night. Scheduled guests were "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" actor Ryan Reynolds, celebrity animal trainer Jules Sylvester and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

WWE Spring Cleaning Begins - HOFer Released

In a cost-cutting measure, World Wrestling Entertainment released "Superstar" Billy Graham, 65, from his $2,000 per month level consulting contract this past week — saving $24,000 annually.

The WWE Hall of Famer was given 90 days notice that the company was canceling the contract with one year remaining on it.

The move is said to be similar to what they did with fellow Hall of Famer Afa Anoa'i, Sr. a few weeks ago. The father of former WWE wrestler Manu was told that the company was re-evaluating all deals of that type as a result of the waning economy.

There is fear within WWE right now that cuts could be on the way with the annual 'spring cleaning'. This normally happens this time of year following the WWE Draft.

An Open Letter To Perez Hilton

Mr. Hilton,

I have been watching the media and am confused over a few things on the controvery between yourself and Ms. Prejean (Miss California) and would like to ask some logical questions on some things.

First i would like to know why you would call Ms. Prejean a dumb bitch? Is it because her views differ from yours? Isn't that a form of discrimination?

And you say that the answer she gave to your question (which i totally agree with) cost her the title. well then if so, you should be disqualified as a judge if you are judging her opinion with yours.

The final question I have is, well your words were, she should not have brought politics or religion into the pageant. If this is true then you shouldn't have asked that question, should you?

I guess what I am really trying to say , you little sawed of piece of crap, is that this is America, we have the freedom of opinion. And whether you like her opinion or my opinion means nothing to me. We can have our opinion and you will just have to deal with that.

Country Legend Jimmy Dean And Wife Escape Fire

Country music legend Jimmy Dean and his wife escaped a fire that heavily damaged their house in Virginia.

Authorities said Tuesday three firefighters suffered minor injuries fighting the blaze at the home overlooking the James River in Varina.

The fire was reported at 8:05 p.m. Monday and was brought under control several hours later.

Fire Capt. Chris Buehren said the blaze caused extensive damage to the basement, first floor and attic of the moderately sized farmhouse.

Dean and his wife, Donna Meade Dean, weren't injured. The couple were outside the home when firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.

Randy Orton Reveals Why He Kicked Manu Out Of Legacy

In an interview featured in the latest issue of WWE Magazine, Randy Orton reveals why he kicked Manu out of Legacy.

"Respect, that's something that Manu, who had a chance to be part of Legacy, didn't have," Orton told WWE Magazine. "He grew up in the business, and you would've thought he'd have that ingrained in his mind. He had been wrestling since his early teens, and he thought that he was already a veteran in his early 20s. That's what got him fired from Legacy. But I think we're looking to include another part man in the stable to make it all the more powerful. I'll say no more."

While Orton's comments appear to be in-character, they are apparently not as the interview was a non-kayfabe interview with the members of Legacy discussing their real-life aspirations for the group, their families' lineage, what makes the group different than other groups of the past, and more.

Behind the scenes, it is known that Orton legitimately pushed for Manu to be kicked out of the group, feeling he wasn't in the same league as the other members, and didn't fit in as a result. WWE officials apparently agreed as the son of WWE Hall of Famer Afa was booted from the group in an angle that aired on the January 12, 2009 edition of Raw. Manu's departure from the group ultimately led to his release from World Wrestling Entertainment as the company didn't have anything else for him once they opted against sending him back down to developmental.

So what he is saying is that Americans can no longer have an opinion, or point of view other then those held by the liberals and the gays (who are mostly liberal).

I am writing this post for your safety actually, it seems that Yamaha has recently recalled more of its Rhino Side by Side (SxS) ATV vehicles because of rollover risk.
The Rhino Side by Side (SxS) ATV vehicle is extremely unsafe because it rolls over even when operating at low speeds. Many injuries and deaths have occurred due to the defective design of the Rhino.

There are widespread reports of broken legs, particularly the tibia bone, which occur as a result of the Yamaha Rhino Rollover due to its unsafe design.

The Yamaha Rhino all terrain vehicle has been linked with many rollovers due to the following properties:

· The Yamaha Rhino is narrow, and wider vehicles can be more stable
· The Yamaha Rhino is top-heavy and therefore has a high center of gravity
· The Yamaha Rhino has small tires, and small tires give the vehicle less of a platform for stability

These factors combined make the Yamaha Rhino ATV unstable and more likely to tip over when going around a corner or hitting a bump or stone in the terrain. There have been serious injuries when going around corners at LOW SPEEDS and on FLAT TERRAIN.

3 Title Changes At Lockdown, Taz To TNA Update

As far as the second World Champion TNA promised at Lockdown (besides Lashley), they did say they would begin to "unlock the identity" of that person at last nights show. It looks like they were indeed teasing Taz. Before Samoa Joe came out to the Lockdown match, he was seen backstage speaking to someone getting what Mike Tenay called, last minute "instructions" for the match. Joe hit the ring and nailed a series of various suplexes - most of them being the signature suplexes of former ECW World Champion Taz.

Title changes coming out of last nights show saw Team 3D capturing the TNA World Tag Team Titles, Angelina Love capturing the TNA Knockouts Title and Mick Foley winning the TNA World Heavyweight Title.

Ace Debuts New Track At Amoeba Music

In a surprise move at today's Record Store Day Celebration at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles, California, Ace Frehley debuted a new song called Pain in the Neck from his forthcoming CD Anomaly.

A store full of fans that turned out to see the iconic rock guitarist were stunned by the surprise release, and responded with wild enthusiasm at the new debut. Immediately after the song played, the store broke out in applause. "Very cool...heavy...reminds me of early KISS" said fan Curtis Feliszak of Burbank.


An exact release date for Anomaly has not been set, but an announcement is expected in the next two weeks on AceFrehley.com. Ace is currently planning a world tour in support of the CD, and promises many more promotional appearances as the CD release gets closer.

Foley Doing New Book

Mick Foley is currently penning a new book according to an interview with IGN.com - he wrote:

“I’m working on a book right now detailing my adventures leading up to this one match [versus Sting]. It’s similar, in that respect, to the book that I wrote in 2006, about leading up to a big match in the WWE. The biggest difference is that it’s so much easier for me to try to get my vision across to viewers. Part of what made the last book a good read I think was that it detailed the constant battles I would have with the WWE creative department and with Vince McMahon. Those battles don’t really exist in TNA for me.”

TNA Stars In Car Accident

TNA wrestling stars Matt Morgan, Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde were involved in a car accident following the recent Fan Interaction event in Elmira.

After turning in to their hotel area a car rear-ended their SUV sending Morgan (driving) and Kong in to the dashboard, with Wilde suffering mild whiplash in the back seats. Despite this they all escaped with just bumps and bruises, and aren’t expected to miss any action.

A Little House Moment

If you would like to find a show that shows the best in drama and comedy I would have to recommend "Little House On The Prairie" for the honor.

Michael Landon was so talented and this (in my opinion) was his shining moment, I especially like the the Little House movies, like the one I am watching right now where Albert Ingalls finds he has leukemia.

Alot of tears in this one, but believe it or not it caused me to have a few smiles and a laugh too. I guess the best thing about the show is how it takes me back to when I was a kid when this show first came on and we watched it as a family.

Hold on to those family moments while you have them friends, time goes by so fast.

But then, it's only my opinion.

In response to the fallout stemming from controversial comments made in a recent magazine interview by Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke Hogan is sounding off in defense of her famous father. It's an ET exclusive!

Woman Arrested at Spears Home

Authorities have arrested a camouflage-wearing, camera-toting woman they say was caught peeking into Britney Spears' windows.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department arrested Miranda Tozier-Robbins on Thursday morning after security guards stopped her at Spears' suburban Calabasas home. Deputies say the 26-year-old was issued a citation for trespassing and disorderly conduct and released.

In 2005, Tozier-Robbins auditioned for the fifth season of "American Idol" by performing Spears' hit, "Everytime," according to reports from Entertainment Weekly.

Here I go again going off in another direction, I was watching Fox news this morning (the only news I trust) and I listened to both sides of the waterboarding debate and I have to say this is not torture.

Consider this, why don't we give these people a choice, we can put water up your nose to make you uncomfortable so that we can get the information that we need to keep people alive and stop terrorist attacks (yes, i said terrorist, I won't cover that word with flowers the way the liberals would like to do just to get other countries to love us) or we can have you can jump from a sky scraper after a plane hit the building the same way American citizens did from the twin towers.

The liberals in this country seem to forget about 9/11, they seem to want to forget and that sickens me.

All I can say, is now that President Obama will close down Gitmo you should expect another attack on American soil within a year, why do i say that? Because now we won't be getting the information we need from those prisoners to stop them.

But then, it's only my opinion.

Danny Bonaduce Praises Steroid Use

Radio show host, former actor, and season one Hulk Hogan’s CCW participant, Danny Bonaduce was recently interviewed on the BWR online audio show and highly praised steroid use. He said he thinks the lack of steroids in wrestling is harmful to the business because they’re supposed to look like giants, and he mentioned he really likes Scott Steiner. He said he thinks steroid should be mandatory in wrestling and that they should be absolute monsters.

Bonaduce, who appears in several internet videos injecting Human Growth Hormone, will be appearing on the TNA Lockdown pre-show wrestling Eric Young.

There are arguments for using controlled amounts of steroids and other performance enhancers in wrestling, but from a public relations standpoint this is a pretty asinine thing to say.

Bad Boy, Bad Boy, What Ya' Gonna Do?....

The singer of the 1980s love song "Hungry Eyes" has pleaded no contest to drunken driving and failing to control his car and has been sentenced to a month in an Ohio jail.

A Bedford Municipal Court judge on Wednesday ordered Eric Carmen to report to jail April 25.

Carmen was the lead singer of the Raspberries, a 1970s pop band that scored its biggest hit with "Go All the Way." He's also had a productive solo career, releasing "All by Myself" in 1975 and "Hungry Eyes" for the 1987 "Dirty Dancing" movie soundtrack.

Carmen lives in the Cleveland suburb Gates Mills. He was arrested Sept. 9 after crashing into a fire hydrant.

Police say his blood-alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit.

I am so SICK of reality shows, please give me something entertaining! I have been begging for that now for how long? right! Too long!

So I beg and I beg and I beg and what happens? that's right another reality show!

Oxygen said Wednesday that it's developing a reality show about actress Keshia Knight Pulliam (Rudy of "The Cosby Show") and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta area entrepreneur Kaseem Penn. It will explore what it's like being young, rich, single and co-habitating. No air date is set for the show, titled "Keshia and Kaseem."

Who cares what their lives are like?? Live your life, I will live mine. Now someone please give me some entertainment that comes from a SCRIPT, with good ACTORS, and entertaining STORIES, PLEASE!

But then, that's only my opinion.

It's Never Too Early

If you have been coming here very much then you know that I am really into costumes and Halloween. Having the right costume can actually make a party and make you the center of attention, and who doesn’t like that?

The same goes for children’s costumes and that includes Boys Halloween Costumes and Girls Halloween Costumes . But since I have no children at the moment I put my attention to my needs in this costume search.

The thing I like the most about Halloween Costumes is that for one night you can be whatever or whoever you want to be. Kind of like the costume I have been looking at recently, the cowardly lion from the movie, The Wizard of OZ.

Let’s face it, The Wizard of Oz was the greatest movie ever made and the characters were so much fun to watch, imagine how much fun it would be to actually get to be one of those characters for one night!

Child Dies Doing Swanton?

The New York Daily News is reporting that a 9 year old from Brooklyn may have jumped to his death reenacting Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb off his apartment building.

Damori Miles’ broken body was found on the ground outside the Albany houses about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Wrapped around his body was the string and plastic bag he use to craft his makeshift parachute, police sources said. The boy died at Interfaith hospital an hour later, police said.

“It’s terrible. The kids try to imitate what they see and they think they can fly,” said family friend Sumore Murrel, 29.

She said the third-grader was supposed to have a play date with her two children Shakar 11, and Kevin, 9, Tuesday night, but never showed.

“His older sister came knocking on the door looking for him at 7:30. She had no idea he was dead. None of us did,” Murrel said.

Instead, the little boy had left his 10-floor apartment on Bergen Street and walked up to the building’s roof.

Shakar Murrel, Damori’s best friend, believed his pal jumped off the roof to imitate his favorite PlayStation2 video game “Smackdown Raw.”

“He tried to do a swan dive like Jeff Hardy does in Smackdown. That was his favorite game. He played it all the time. That was what he was trying to do. If I would have seen him up there I would have told him not to do it.”
