Got Asbestos?

More and more these days I have been hearing the dangers of asbestos and how each of us should take care to know if we are in the vicinity of it. Well friends, as many of you know me, I do my research on such things and I have found a few things that might protect us all.

Have you ever considered having an asbestos survey carried out either at home or at work? Now you are wondering, what exactly is an asbestos survey? Ok friends, I had that question too when I first came across those words.

An asbestos survey is where a trained asbestos surveyor comes to you and performs an inspection within a building looking materials that may contain asbestos fibers. The surveyor will most often take samples of suspect and send them to a laboratory for analysis. After a week, or so, you will receive a report detailing any asbestos found.

Now friends, after it has been explained it really doesn’t sound so complicated at all does it? If you really think about it, these simple steps to finding out if you have asbestos isn’t much of a burden, when you think of how it could possibly save your life or the lives of those around you.
Just the word, asbestos these days puts a fear into a person that few words can accomplish and what is sad is that I am hearing this word more and more as the years go by. So now we have the chance to do something about this I honestly believe we should take advantage of it and have these asbestos surveys done.
