Fan Thrown Out of Impact

A wrestling fan was thrown out of yesterday’s Impact Wrestling tapings for texting spoilers on his mobile phone to a website.

According to TNA it was Universal Studios that issued the new policy, but that seems highly unlikely.

Bob's Opinion: Why would Universal Studios care about wrestling spoilers?

JR Rejected Kharma

A story going around online states that Jim Ross turned down Kharma from Tough Enough season 2, and several fans got on his case for it. JR responded on Twitter by saying she wasn’t what WWE was looking for at the time:

“Lots of angry folks. Ask @Kharma the story. She’s a wrestler & not a typical WWE Diva. King havin fun w/ OKC Thunder. Yes, I’m fat. Duh.”

Bob's Opinion: Can't really blame JR for something ( I am sure) Vince put him up to

More On Terry Taylor’s release

According to the Wrestling Observer Terry Taylor’s release from TNA may have something to do with Daffney’s lawsuit. Taylor and Russo were the ones that pressured the Knockout to take a barbed wire board bump off the ring apron, suffering a concussion.

Taylor then also prevented the company from paying her medical bill.

She then suffered a further concussion on Impact after she didn’t get her arms up in time for Tara lobbing a tool box at her head.

And then a third concussion after the inexperienced Miss Betsy powerbombed her in a dark match.

Bob's Opinion: hindsight is 20/20, red rooster

Hogan Responds To Warrior

Hulk Hogan tweeted a response to Ultimate Warrior’s recent “calling out” on Youtube. He wrote:
“Negativity and Hulkamania – 2 things that don’t go together. Finish your weekend strong Monday, ignore all the rest.”

Bob's Opinion: yeah yeah

TNA Launching Online Game

TNA is reportedly set to launch an online game that will see fans playing along with weekly Impact storylines. The game will be at TNAImpactFantasy.com and will be run by TNA and Fantasy Brands, LLC.

The game will be free to play online at first. It will have a point system that will include appearances, interviews, interference and more than just a simple win/loss record.
Bob's Opinion: Sounds fun

TNA Star Sidelined Until 2012

Chris Sabin will be sidelined until 2012 after tearing both the ACL and MCL in his knee during a match last month on iMPACT!. He underwent surgery on his injured knee earlier this month.

Sabin suffered the injury during a match against Anarquia at the April 20 iMPACT! taping. He went for a springboard clothesline and tweaked his knee when the Mexican America member was out-of-position to receive the maneuver. The referee was instructed to end the match when it appeared Sabin was injured.

Bob's Opinion: Such a shame, just when Alex Shelly just came back

Covering The Bases

Well I have been thinking to myself lately, what can I do to make the pro wrestling experience better? So friends, I did the first thing that came to mind and looked into http://www.LocalTV-Satellite.com/ in order to get that better experience.

I thought to myself as well, since I will be having the power of great tv, what’s stopping me from getting a better television to watch it on and then like the kind of guy I am, I wondered what can I do to protect that television, so I also looked into security systems.

I found a website that for just that security system that takes care of the worries at my home and homes all over the country, even my friend enjoys the home security columbiafalls has to offer.

Yes friends, call me crazy, but I do like to cover all of my bases!

Vince McMahon Irate At RAW

As many of you likely speculated, Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were described as "freaking out" backstage at RAW during the first fifteen minutes with the technical difficulties.
Bob's Opinion: Yeah, I speculated that too!

Averno To WWE Update

It was reported on Sunday that masked Mexican professional wrestler Averno has signed a contract with WWE. He is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Super Luchas, with the headline saying "he has a foot in WWE."

Bob's Opinion: still waiting...

Warrior Shoots On Hogan

Following Hogan’s recent HDNet interview, the Ultimate Warrior posted a video on Youtube calling him out. He said:

“Hey Terry, I found that bullet man. You know that bullet you were talking about in that sitdown interview when you said, “Ultimate Warrior was given a bullet to kill Hulkamania.” I found it. I found it buried, real deep, inside that huge piece of real estate I still own inside your psyche.

“You know Terry, you’re a real piece of work man, just beautiful in every way. Things you said in that sit-down interview… you know the dots of the statements that you made… and the silly-ass clichés that you used, they just don’t connect man. Someone’s gotta set the record straight. Someone capable. Someone wise enough to do it. And I’m going to do that. I’m going to set the record straight and paint the picture of who you truly are.

“Karma’s coming to collect, Terry. Karma’s coming to collect, big time.”

Bob's Opinion: C'mon guys, can't we all just get along?

Bob Orton Talks Randy Savage

Cowboy Bob Orton has an interview on St. Louis news program KLPR 11 on Sunday due to the fact that they used to run "Wrestling at the Chase" marathons on their station on Memorial Day. Orton discussed several topics including his son Randy, the old St. Louis territory, Crusher Blackwell and more.

The interview also featured Orton talking about Randy Savage, who he teamed with for a while in International Wrestling All-Stars. Orton called Savage "flamboyant... one of the best ever... gave his all every time he entered the ring, and fans loved him for it... we hate to see him go."

Bob's Opinion: here is a video from that era. this organization was based in Lexington, Ky. this is the Randy Savage that I grew up on.:

Vickie Guerrero's Real-Life Boyfriend Cheats On Her?

Vickie Guerrero remarked last Thursday on her Facebook account (shortly after plugging the account on Twitter) that her boyfriend, who was also her personal trainer, cheated on her. She wrote the status update in response to her friends' hearsay.

A steamed Guerrero wrote, "Enough of the private messages, of he said/she said!!! Im going to set things straight!! I am single now and it was my decision! (name withheld)...aka trainer/"boyfriend" was cheating on me with (name withheld). I was disgusted to know that she is married with kids! Been there, lived it before, and I am done with that bulls--t...period!"

Bob's Opinion: You go girl!

John Cena Takes Heat For Twitter Remarks

John Cena drew criticism on Twitter on Saturday after posting a pro-America remark.
He wrote, "CeNation. I know most have a long weekend this week. While you're having fun remember those who have kept this country free."

Hours later, Cena retweeted an expletive-laden remark directed towards him. He wrote in response, "CeNation. Welcome to my life. You don't love it...leave it man. I damn proud of all those men and women. On memorial day weekend. Classy. Very classy. Sorry guys. We all have our limits. That sent me over the line."

He then retweeted another one of his follower's remarks: "@shmikemike You're pathetic. You're right John Cena sucks big time and is a ****** performer, but no need to insult our troops like that."

Cena wrote in response, "You see. That is the way to insult someone. Not bad mr knight. I've heard much worse but not bad. :)"

Bob's Opinion: nail 'em to the wall John. tell them this from me "if you ca't back our troops, feel free to stand in front of them"

Update: WWE's New Masked Wrestler

As noted earlier here on the website, Super Luchas reports that masked Mexican professional wrestler Averno has signed a contract with WWE. He is crossing over to the sports entertainment organization as an unmasked heel to work with Sin Cara on the SmackDown! brand. He is expected to lose his mask to La Mascara at CMLL's next big event, which takes place on June 17.

Averno had a tryout match with WWE last October and performed well, but was not signed due to concern over his age—34 years old. A deal was completed recently when company officials asked Sin Cara who he would most like to work with and he suggested Averno. WWE asked for his advice since most of the organization's talent haven yet to adapt to his style of wrestling and therefore isn't performing up to par. Averno, his longtime rival in CMLL, can work his style and showcase his strengths.

WWE is also considering signing two other young CMLL luchadors. It should also be noted that word is that the political environment in CMLL is not at all stable, and this is making things worse for them.

Bob's Opinion:...still waiting....

WWE Signs New Lucha Star

According to a source, WWE has signed top Lucha heel Averno. He worked for CMLL for many years in a feud with current WWE star Sin Cara back when he was known as Mistico.

There is no word yet on what the company plans on doing with him. There had been rumors of WWE signing talent from Mexico prior to their RAW and SmackDown! tapings in Mexico City in October.

Bob's Opinion: I will take a wait and see attitude

CM Punk Blasts SmackDown!?

CM Punk tweeted the following, which everyone assumes was about WWE SmackDown!: "Ugh. Sick of wrestling shows starting out with the same exact in ring interview! Change it up!"

Bob's Opinion: talk about biting the hand that feeds you

WWE To Sign Mexican Talents?

WWE is looking into hiring several workers from Mexico in order to flesh out their roster for their upcoming RAW and SmackDown! tapings set for Mexico in November. No names have been confirmed at this time

Bob's Opinion: I think Mexico wants the WWE, not some souped up Mexican version of it

Vince McMahon Remembers Randy Savage In TIME Magazine - Entire Article

The June 6, 2011 issue of TIME features an article on the late Randy Savage written by Vince McMahon. Here is the article in its entirety:

"It's important in sports and it's important in entertainment to stand out. Randy knew that. Right away, he wanted to leave his mark, and to do that he was aware he had to make himself different from everyone else. One way he did this was concentrating on his outfits, those brightly colored costumes with foot-long fringe that became his trademark. He brought to wrestling a unique look and style.

"Randy, who died in a car crash May 20 at age 58, was one of the building blocks of what is now WWE (previously known as the World Wrestling Federation). He had a very unusual voice --remember his "Snap into a Slim Jim. Oh, yeah!" commercials?--and was extremely charismatic. Perception is very important in this business, and he also had a very high opinion of himself, something he needed in a locker room full of performers who had been around for a while and had big personalities and followings--like Hulk Hogan, Today, Randy is remembered as one of wrestling's all time greats. No question about it--he certainly was."

Bob's Opinion: not much emotion there

Ex-TNA Tag-Team Returns + Six-Sided Ring Confirmed

-- Voodoo Kin Mafia, BG James and Kip James, appeared at TNA Wrestling's "UK Party" Thursday, which was held at an undisclosed location in Manchester, England.

The multi-time tag team champions participated in a taping for an upcoming episode of TNA Spin Cycle and there was a loud "one more match" chant.

The duo then hung out and took photos with fans for approximately one hour before leaving.

-- Jeremy Borash has confirmed that the six-sided ring will be returning to TNA Wrestling for one night only; at the Destination X pay-per-view event on July 10.

-- This week's episode of iMPACT! Wrestling featured 22 minutes and 56 seconds of in-ring action, up from 20 minutes and 59 seconds the week before.

Bob's Opinion: 22 minutes of TNA wrestling adds up to about 2 hours of WWE wrestling. I'm not saying the talent's not there, but I havent seen a good RAW in ages

WWE Legend re-signs with the company

Paul Bearer announced via his Twitter account that he has signed a new "Legends" deal with WWE today. Bearer is signed for five years with an option for a sixth.

Bob's Opinion: Good to hear this, but the man deserves an on screen role as well
Alex Marvez is featuring an interview with TNA star Mick Foley in his syndicated column looking at Foley's role as "The Network" for TNA on Impact Wrestling and why the role has worked for him in the past.

"I really feel like one of the biggest contributions I've made to wrestling was making the authority figure a big part of a wrestling show. It seemed like from that point on, a lot of authority figures have become very prominent on just about every wrestling show.

It is a challenge. I have to believe in what I'm doing. If that means helping to put the spotlight on some of the stars who are either hiding or have been placed in the shadows, I think I can bring them some relevancy. I've got some ideas that might offend some people. But I think wrestling from time to time can make people think and create some water-cooler conversation."

Bob's Opinion: Just don't bring your left wing political crap to wrestling

Just Offering Some Information That Might Be Of Interest

This my friends, is kind of a public service announcement about a zoloft lawsuit.

In 1992, Pfizer released the prescription drug Zoloft, which at that time was FDA-approved as a treatment for depression. Further research studies perfomed years later determined that Zoloft was also an effective treatment for other illnesses and disorders including OCD, panic or anxiety disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and PMDD or premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Zoloft may produce side effects that are harmful. Some of the psychological side effects include homicidal or violent behavior, hostility, and suicidal behavior. Akathisia is experienced by approximately 5 percent of the patients that take Zoloft. Akathisia is a mental illness that can cause extreme moodiness. Some have claimed that due to their bouts of Akathisia, they have exhibited both violent and suicidal behavior.

There are several other serious side effects that taking Zoloft may cause. These side effects may be behavioral, psychological, or physical and might include symptoms such as skin rashes, decline in sex drive or inability to perform, jaundice, muscle spasms, and motor, cognitive, and sensory problems. Many of these problems could warrant legal action against Pfizer.

Victims of the side effects of Zoloft or their family members might consider contacting an attorney to discuss their symptoms with. Upon review, if the attorney feels that you have a valid case, he or she will help you hold Pfizer accountable for their actions. An attorney will be able to help you to get any monetary compensation that you have coming.

At 1pm EST today, tickets for the WrestleReunion 6 convention in Los Angeles will go on sale. Former WCW World Champion Scott Steiner will be attending.

Bob's Opinion: Get 'em while they're hot!

Food For Thought

I was looking back at some old wrestling videos the other day and one of the wrestlers that caught my eye was Dr. Isaac Yankum DDS. For those of you that don’t know this, Yankum is now Kane in the WWE.

Anyway, as I was watching his match a strange question came to my mind and that was, I wonder where people in the medical profession get their white lab coats and such. So as I always do, when I am curious, I take to the Internet and do a little research. In doing this research I came across http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/.

Now two of my sisters are in the medical field, so I will be sure to pass this page along to them, and if you know anyone in the medical field, I suggest that you pass it along as well.

Ex-WWE Tag Team Champion Mocks Randy Savage's Death

According to multiple accounts, former WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Knobbs mocked Randy Savage's death at a wrestling convention last Friday in Newark, California.

A number of former WWE stars were on hand for Big Time Wrestling's annual Wrestlefest event last Friday at the Newark Pavilion including Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Jim Neidhart, Jerry Sags, Greg Valentine and Jimmy Hart. News of Savage's passing broke Friday and Knobbs was cracking jokes about the deceased wrestler later that day in front of his longtime colleagues.

Waltman, who witnessed Knobbs' mean-spirited behavior, took to Twitter to criticize the Nasty Boys member.

He wrote, "There's no shoot brewing with Knobs. He's just an asshole for making jokes about Randy Savage dying on the same day it happened. He's pathetic."

Waltman also wrote the following to Hulk Hogan, a close friend of Knobbs': "I'm sorry to even bring you into Knobs BS, but he needs to be held accountable for once. You're the only one I know who can do it."

Savage's brother Lanny Poffo was also scheduled to appear at the event but canceled due to Savage's death.

Bob's Opinion: for once X-Pac made me proud

Ric Flair's Manager Addresses Warrant Reports

Ric Flair's Manager, Melinda Morris Zanoni, of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC, sent out the following today... "This conditional Order is in respect of a Settlement Agreement pursuant to which Mr. Flair has until June 27, 2011 to comply, which he fully intends to do. This civil Order is not, and should in no way be construed as, Mr. Flair now being subject to arrest."

Bob's Opinion: Yeah?

Arrest Warrant For Ric Flair Issued

An order for Ric Flair's arrest was issued in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina after he was found in civil contempt today during a hearing. It involved him not following a mediated Settlement Agreement in the lawsuit against him by Highspots.com.

The agreement said that Flair was supposed to pay the site $35,000 as well as sign 300 photos as restitution for both sides. This would have ended the legal problems after Flair borrowed money from the site when he was doing business with them. Even though he signed the agreement, he failed to adhere to it, and so Highspots took him to court. He was ordered to adhere by April 29th.

The court ruled that Flair was "willfull civil contempt of the court." The arrest order reads: "Therefore it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that Defendant Richard Fliehr is hereby held in civil contempt for his failure to comply with the Consent Order to Enforce Settlement and that the Defendant be imprisoned for as long as he remains in civil contempt for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from his date of imprisonment. This imprisonment shall commence on June 27, 2011 without further action of the court."

He could cancel the order by paying the aforementioned amount and returning the 300 photos. If he could not do that, he could also give the site the NWA World championship belt that he used as collateral. The belt is currently back in Flair's possession. They would then be able to sell it to get back the money they are owed. If he chooses that option, the court added that the belt needed to be "free of all liens and encumbrances." This might pose a problem since there is already one lien against Flair for the belt.
Bob's Opinion: C'mon Ric, really?

Chyna Denies Porn Rumors

TMZ.com reported this morning that Chyna would be making her much anticipated return to the adult industry in the form of an extremely graphic pornographic video.
Vivid President Steve Hirsch told TMZ he was approached by Chyna "months ago" to create an X-rated film as part of her re-entry into the business.

She shot a movie involving two male adult film stars, tentatively titled Backdoor into Chyna. It is set for release on DVD "in the near future."

According to Beauty Queen Management, who represent the former WWE Women's Champion, the report is "totally untrue" as she has not and will not be shooting any porn videos.

"All rumors relating to Chyna and porn are totally false and should be taken with a grain of salt." her manager Michelle Roberts told Chyna fansite alivingwonder.com. As noted, Hirsch claims it was already filmed!

Meanwhile, Eric Bischoff avoided commenting on her status with TNA Wrestling when asked during an interview earlier this week with Monday Night Mayhem.

Bischoff replied, "That's a really good question and I'm not going to answer it because it would be inappropriate. So, let's leave it at that."

According to sources, TNA has no plans on using Chyna any further, nor the woman originally slotted for the role of Kurt Angle's associate, Isis the Amazon

Bob's Opinion: Well, if this is true, then I guess Chyna isn't doing as well as I thought

'Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase Talks Memories Of Randy Savage

WWE Hall of Famer "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase was one of the featured guests on this week's live edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Dibiase joined The Big Mosh, "The Chairman of the Board" Todd Vincent & special guest co-host Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Dan Murphy to look back at the life, career & legacy of the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Here are some interview highlights courtesy of Paterson, MNM's associate producer & official correspondent:

His reaction to the passing of "The Macho Man" Randy Savage & how he always saw himself identifying with Randy throughout his career: "I identified with Randy a lot. We both had a lot in common, in that we were both buys who grew up in this industry whose fathers were wrestlers. I've always believed that for kids who that grew up in the industry that it's not just a job, but it's something they fell in love with and something they've known all their lives. There's a certain camaraderie there. In a word, Randy was charismatic. He'll be very missed, and it's sad."

What he will personally & professionally remember the most about Randy, both inside & outside the ring: "It was his professionalism. He was all business. He would laugh, and cut up, and have fun too, but for the most part, he was a consummate pro. He took his job & his work very seriously, and I always admired that. He was incredibly dedicated."

Savage / SI Magazine

The May 30th edition of Sports Illustrated has an article about Randy "Macho Man" Savage on page 14 entitled, "A Man Apart: Wrestling loses one of its highest fliers."

Randy Savage: Don't Play My Theme Music At Funeral

The body of the late Randy Savage was cremated Tuesday and his ashes were spread at the base of a tree at his Largo, Florida home, reports TMZ.com. In compliance with his final request, the family did not play his trademark wrestling theme music during the ceremony.
According to Randy's brother Lanny Poffo, the wrestling legend adamantly requested that in his funeral plans, his theme music, Pomp and Circumstance, was not to be played while he was laid to rest.

TMZ reports that in recent years, Savage felt "extremely guilty" about using the song because it was initially used by his idol, wrestling legend Gorgeous George. He felt like he stole George's thunder.

Poffo says Randy's closest friends and family members will meet again in Florida Thursday to continue to mourn and honor his memory.

Bob's Opinion: Still having a hard time believing he's gone

NFL.com writer mentions CM Punk's possible departure, takes shot at John Cena

NFL.com has an article that playfully encourages Hines Ward to consider playing off his win on Dancing with the Stars by doing other thing besides football. One of the options offered was pro wrestling. The article says:

"A number of NFL players have made the leap from NFL star to professional wrestler. Most notably Bill Goldberg. And since the loss of the Macho Man and the possible WWE departure of CM Punk, professional wrestling needs somebody to put John Cena in his place. Besides, Ward could show Cena how to throw a real shoulder block."

Bob's Opinion: would hate to see Punk go, not a huge fan of his but he does his job well

Great Khali Turns Heel

The Great Khali turned heel at tonight’s WWE SmackDown tapings, attacking Ranjin Singh. Khali then left with Jinder Mahal as the two will be forming a heel tag team to go after the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Savage Tipped For Hall of Fame?

It is now believed that Randy Savage will be inducted in to next year’s WWE Hall of Fame in Miami. The sad thing is, this might not have taken place if it wasn’t for his death.

It’s likely he would have eventually been inducted, but not this soon. It seems Vince had only just began to accept the use of his likeness again.

As noted by George The Animal Steele in an interview earlier this week, Vince was hurt that Savage had jumped ship to WCW without telling him. The pair had become close and McMahon felt betrayed. Roddy Piper also noted an incident where Savage slapped Vince in a bar. Thus Vince did not acknowledge him until only recently.

Bob"S Opinion: Vince will use him if he can make a buck

WrestleMania 27 Buyrate

WWE had previously claimed that WrestleMania 27 would do 1 million buys, and it looks as if they were right. The company's official preliminary estimate has the show doing 1,042,000 buys worldwide.

Bob's Opinion: and at almost $50 bucks a pop, that's one hell of a pay day

Mick Foley Talks Jeff Hardy Incident

Jeff Hardy's condition and if TNA has recovered from his incident at Victory Road: "Jeff has been... he's been struggling for a little while. And I think it's important, he's got a new son... I think the most important thing is not when he comes back to Impact Wrestling, but that he takes care of those issues he's got so he can be around as a husband and as a father, and then once he gets those issues addressed, we'd love to have him back as a wrestler."

Bob's Opinion: Amen brother!

WWE Profiles Vader - Addresses Drug 'Demons'

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Big Van Vader is profiled in the latest edition of "Where Are They Now?" on WWE.com. "The Man They Call Vader" discusses his meteoric rise in the professional wrestling industry, "the demons" that brought him down and the way he got back on his feet.
Towards the conclusion of his successful run with WCW, Vader, who's real name is Leon White, began struggling with bad personal habits.

"I drank way too much. I was in a lot of pain with my knees and my back and my shoulders and started taking way too many pain pills," he said.

Following runs in WWE and Japan, "everything caught up with him" at the turn of the century.

"It got to the point where I physically couldn't get on a plane and go do it anymore," White said. "It didn't matter what I took, didn't matter how much alcohol I drank — I was just physically unable to continue."

The article then states: "It has been said that an addict must hit rock bottom before they can begin to recover. For Vader, that moment came in 2007 when he returned to his beautiful house in Colorado, which was now empty. His wife had left him."

"That was the low part of my life," he said. "At that point I realized something had to change. Either I had to get busy dying or get busy living."

After quitting his "ill habits cold turkey," Vader underwent double knee replacement, which became infected and forced him into bed for six months. He then attempted to take a trip to Japan for an autograph signing and went unconscious on the plane. The former champion was in a coma for 30 days. When he awoke, he had lost 112 pounds and struggled to walk and talk again. Vader says this was the moment of his rebirth.

"Did I really think that after misbehaving for so many years that I was just going to quit and go through a couple of weeks of misery and be done with it and be healthy and happy?" Vader said. "For me, that didn't make sense. If you want to get your life back this is what you have to do."

After returning to Colorado following his coma, he was put in touch with the Wounded Warriors Alliance. Though designed for military veterans, the group heard his story and recognized him as a wounded warrior. He was invited to attend a program at their ranch in Pueblo West, Colorado. He says the experience changed his life.

"These beautiful people allowed me to come into their program and they taught me how to give my testimony — that's what has value," he said.

Since completing their course, he has become a motivational speaker and a counselor with the faith-based group.

"These guys may have one arm or one leg, may have been shot in the shoulder or the chest two or three times," White said. "What I do with these kids is I stand up in front of them and tell them that throughout my career, I've had 45 surgeries to date, I've had 19 concussions, I've had both knees replaced, I've actually been in a coma for 33 days in Japan.

"If this old man can do what he did and come out on the other side and actually be here tonight," he added, "then what can someone do at 23 with their whole life ahead of them?"

Bob's Opinion: Very inspiring story.

Christian Talks About Short Title Run, Winning Title After Edge Vacated It & More

Christian was recently on Busted Open with hosts Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca. The show airs Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-4 PM ET on Sirius 92 and XM 207. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On his brief reign as World Heavyweight Champion and the fans outcry over the quick change: "Obviously, I kind of look at it two ways. There's very few people that ever have a chance to become World Heavyweight Champion. I did that, got a taste of it, I know what it takes to get to that point now and the way I look at it, I stay positive about it and I look forward to being able to call myself a two-time World Heavyweight Champion.

"I was really surprised by the outpouring of all the stuff on Twitter, all those sorts of things. It was pretty surprising. I think a lot of it happened before... obviously, the show is done on Tuesday and shown on Friday, so theres a lot of things people were going on hearsay before the show even aired, before they even saw it, so you kind of have to take that with a grain of salt.

"I think Randy and I have great chemistry and going forward there should be some exciting times for myself. I look forward to the challenges, and like I said, I got a taste of being World Heavyweight Champion. I know what it takes to get there and I look forward to being the World Champion again`. I won't stop until it happens."

Bittersweet that he won the title after Edge was forced to vacate it: "Of course, it was a tough pill to swallow. He's my best friend. We've known each other since we were in sixth grade. I knew that he was having issues with tingling and things like that in his arms. He had neck surgery years ago, so I think he realized that at some point, it may come back to bother him again at some point in his career. The day after Wrestlemania he went and had everything checked out and it turned out he had the spinal stinosis and the whole thing and he was in serious risk of permanent damage to himself. All it takes is a fall, or to do something one wrong way and the risk of paralysis was even there. Nothing is worth that type of risk.

"He called me right after he got the news and obviously he was very upset about it. We got off the phone and I started thinking about it a little bit. I called him back and I said I understand why you're upset, but you can look at it two ways. You can look at it that way or you can look at it this way. Your career has been amazing. There's not many people that can say they had the type of career you had, done the things that you've done. You've always done things the way you wanted to do them. If this is it, your last match was at Wrestlemania in front of seventy thousand plus people in one of the main events, and you walked out as the World Heavyweight Champion. I said I don't know if you can write a better ending to a script than that. And he's like 'Man, I didn't even think about that.', and right away I think he kind of felt better about it. It took him a couple days to kind of let it sink in, but that being said, he realizes there's not much he can do about it now except look forward to the future.

"None of us were expecting any of this to happen, it just happened and it's one of those things where when you get a chance to step up, you gotta step up and I feel like I did."

If he is more over now than he has ever been: "I think people know that every time I go out there, I leave it all in the ring, regardless. So I think there's a certain respect with that and I think that's just grown over the years because I feel like over the course of my career…..people know that I never take a night off. I'm out there every night working my butt off trying to do what I do, and that is entertain every single person that paid their hard earned money for a ticket. So I think people realize that and I think over time, I feel like that's grown, definitely."

Bob's Opinion: Now this guy is a real class act. give him the title back Vince

Kharma's Pregnancy

As noted earlier here on the website, Kharma is pregnant. According to sources, it is believed that she will be out "for over nine months." The former TNA Women's Knockout Champion was scripted to break down into tears on Monday's Raw, which the announcers described as a nervous breakdown. The angle was done to remove her from television for the time being.

Bob's Opinion: will just wait to see if the WWE keeps her during these 9 months

Over 25 Percent of Performers From Wrestlemania VII Have Died

A new statistic shows that over 25 percent of performers from Wrestlemania VII have died.

14 of the 51 performers at the show have died in the past twenty years. Many of the deaths have been attributed to drug use. For comparison, none of the 44 starters from the Super Bowl played in 1991 have passed away. Only two of the 44 boxers who held a championship are dead.

The full list of performers is: "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Sensational Queen Sherri, Mr. Perfect, Miss Elizabeth, British Bulldog, Dino Bravo, The Texas Tornado, Joey Marella, Hawk, Hercules, Earthquake, Crush and Big Boss Man.

Bob's Opinion: Amazing ain't it?

Ric Flair v. Highspots Legal Update

Ric Flair and Highspots were scheduled to return to court yesterday, due to Flair not complying with the settlement agreement that they had reached. They did not have a court date yesterday, because Flair's attorney requested and received an extension. They will return to court tomorrow.

Bob's Opinion: a life lesson friends, even those in the spot light can get into financial trouble if you don't watch how you spend (not to mention paying several wives alimony)

News On Randy Savage

WWE is going to be re-releasing Randy Savage toys and DVDs soon. It is believed backstage that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at WrestleMania in Miami.

Bob's Opinion: so they will once again make money off the man that Vince refused to work with, losing more respect for Vince by the day

'Kharma' Is Pregnant

WWE Diva Awesome "Kharma" Kong will be sidelined for the remainder of the year.

The reason Kharma is will be off TV is because she is indeed pregnant. As a result, she will not be in active competition for the duration of her pregnancy. She may also miss additional time after the pregnancy for obvious reasons.

Bob's Opinion: Congrats! A little sad too, I am sure, finally make it to the big stage and now this

Mick Foley Posting on Twitter

Mick Foley has received a lot of flack from TNA fans on Twitter during the past 24 hours after he joked with Dwayne Johnson. He made sure to remind The Rock that he had beaten him once in an "Empty Arena Match, aka TNA House Show."

Bob's Opinion: and I was one of them

Dusty Rhodes: How Savage Walked Away From Wrestling

Yahoo! Sports has an article chronicling Randy Savage's extraordinary wrestling career and it features behind-the-scenes details on how it came to an end.

Savage briefly appeared for TNA Wrestling in late 2004 to feud with Jeff Jarrett. At the December pay-per-view, Turning Point, he was scheduled to partner with Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles in a tag team match against The Kings of Wrestling—Jarrett, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Savage, who hadn't wrestled in over four years, flaked out of the match mere minutes before the pay-per-view was to go live.

WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, who was TNA's head booker at the time, recalled the tumultuous ordeal backstage in a quote for the article.

"The last words he said to me, five minutes before the PPV, was, 'I can't do this. I don't want people to see me looking like this,'" Rhodes remembered. "Jerry [Jarrett, a TNA company co-owner] called [event producer] Keith Mitchell in, and I said, 'Change the main event. I said to him, 'Randy, just go home. It's okay with me.' That's the last words he said to me."

To explain the wrestling legend's absence from the match, an angle was hastily scripted for The Kings of Wrestling to attack Savage and stuff him into the trunk of a limo, which spend off out of the arena's parking lot. Without Savage, Styles and Hardy had to work the match by themselves. Savage ultimately appeared, albeit briefly.

After several minutes of Hardy and Styles fighting off The Kings of Wrestling, Savage, wearing a long black shirt to hide his shrunken physique, returned to the Impact! Zone and walked down to the ring. He was tagged in by Hardy moments later and pinned Jarrett after a punch to the jaw.

Savage bolted from the promotion days later at an iMPACT! taping due to a disagreement over the finish of his match at the next scheduled pay-per-view, Final Resolution. He had requested that he win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from Jeff Jarrett at the event, but was denied. He never wrestled again.

Rhodes, who lived a 20-minute drive from Savage, never saw him again following Turning Point. He compared Savage of the last five years of his life to the reclusive lifestyle of Howard Hughes.

"I could see it in his eyes ... he just didn't want to do it," said Rhodes. "Obviously, he was financially set. Out of all of us from that era, [Ric] Flair, Hogan, Andre, myself, how many of us walked away. One."

Bob's Opinion: This is all new to me

Kevin Nash's Twitter Meltdown

Passing along the mini-meltdown Kevin Nash had on Twitter. After getting tweets about his kid's singing voice, he responded in kind by telling "haters" that they can wake up with a brain tumor or imploring them not to wear their seat belts, saying "god has a way of sending assholes through windshields."

Bob's Opinion: over react a little there, Kev?

WWE Honors Randy Savage On RAW, CM Punk-Savage

WWE paid tribute to the late Randy Savage on RAW with an "In Memory of" graphic at the beginning of the show and a video package showcasing his career prior to the evening's main event.
The package highlighted his legendary match with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat at WrestleMania III, on-screen relationship with Miss Elizabeth, trademark mannerisms and other career milestones.

Prior to the airing of the video, Jerry Lawler said of the wrestling legend, "Savage will always be a Hall of Famer, no matter what."

CM Punk punctuated the Savage tribute by wearing "Macho Man" style yellow boots and pink trunks during the RAW main event.

John Cena posted a fan's remark on Twitter regarding Punk's tribute. It reads: "pink trunks, yellow knee pads? How gay are you? I'm returning your action feagure to the store. I'll choose @JohnCena instead."

Cena responded, "Please don't. It was a tribute to randy savage. It was f'n awsome. I was proud to be out there with him."

Bob's Opinion: My only beef with the WWE is that they didn't ring the bell 10 times for Randy, but the things that were done were great

Punk's Tribute To Savage

As many of you noticed, CM Punk paid tribute to Randy Savage once again last night on RAW, as he donned the pink star trunks and yellow boots that Savage used to wear in the late 80s. Punk also paid tribute to Savage the night before at Over The Limit, where he performed Savage's distinct top rope flying elbow.

Bob's Opinion: Kudos to Punk

George 'The Animal' Steele Talks About Why Randy Savage Isn't In The Hall Of Fame

One of "The Macho Man" Randy Savage's greatest rivals from the 80's, George "The Animal" Steele, was on Busted Open with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca, which airs Mondays and Wednesdays at 2-4 PM ET on Sirius 92 and XM 207.

"That's been said a lot of different ways, and there's been a lot of different things said that are not true necessarily.

"I think that what happened with Randy, when his career was winding down with the WWF, Vince McMahon just loved Randy," he continued. "After all everything Randy had done and he took him under his wing, and he wanted Randy after the ring was over with for him, he wanted him to be our spokesperson. He was traveling with Vince all the time. Randy was almost like a son, they were really tight. And then one day, we were at a TV meeting, and we got word that Randy, without calling Vince, had left and jumped to the WCW. I had never seen Vince McMahon broken before, he was crushed. It hurt him big time and I don't think he ever got over that. I think that's the real problem to be honest with you. I heard all this other stuff that I think is garbage when it comes to Randy and relationships with daughters and all that stuff... I don't think that's anywhere's close to the truth."

Bob's Opinion: I can believe this to be true. But like I said before, I don't think anyone but Vince knows why

Old Pictures Of Randy Savage

Bob's Opinion: Thought that you might enjoy these pictures of Randy Savage when he wrestled in Lexington Ky and Memphis Tennessee in the early 1980's. This is the Macho Man that I grew up watching!

MLB Continues to Honor Randy Savage

In addition to mentioning "Macho Man" Randy Savage's passing during the Cardinals / Royals game last weekend, the New York Yankees took some time yesterday during their Subway Series game against the Mets to give a nod to the wrestling icon. During the game, the Stadium played Village People's song "Macho Man" and ended it with a graphic of Savage on their Jumbotron. The image prompted applause and cheers from the fans in attendance.

Bob's Opinion: Now tell me, how cool is that?

Mick Foley Takes Shot At TNA Attendance

Mick Foley engaged in a Twitter exchange with The Rock regarding their "I Quit" Match at the 1999 Royal Rumble.

"In the famous 'I Quit' match, I handcuffed Mick Foley and bashed his face 14 (times) with a steel chair," The Rock wrote. "He bled. I won."

Foley wrote in response to The Rock: "Maybe so, but two days later, I trapped The Rock under a pallet of beer kegs to win the WWE strap in an Empty Arena match a/k/a TNA house show."

Bob's Opinion: Never insult the team that you are playing for

More on Terry Taylor Leaving TNA

As reported on Friday, Terry Taylor has left TNA and has been replaced by Bruce Prichard as the head of Talent Relations. While it was initially reported that Taylor was resigning, the decision was made internally to make a change and go with Prichard. The call was made by Dixie Carter, and Taylor is staying on through the end of the month to make it a smooth transition.

The change came as a surprise as far as Prichard replacing Taylor, as many thought D'Lo Brown was seen as next in line for the role. Brown is currently working as the head agent on TNA live events. Taylor was liked personally by many of the wrestlers, and were some wrestlers privately complaining due to Prichard having a bad reputation in some circles among the wrestlers.

Prichard will work along with TNA's Chief Financial Offier, Dean Broadhead in his new position, but any major signings or decisions will be subject to Dixie and Janice Carter's approval.

Bob's Opinion: Will sit on this one for awhile before giving an opinion

Bret Hart Returns

Bret Hart made a surprise appearance at tonight's PPV at the conclusion of the Jerry Lawler - Michael Cole "Kiss My Foot" match. When Cole tried to retreat to the back after being hit with a moonsault from Eve and being drowned in BBQ sauce from Jim Ross, Hart stopped him. "The Hitman" brought Cole back to the ring and put him in the sharpshooter, and Lawler proceeded to stick his foot in Cole's mouth.

Disturbing Report On WWE Wrestler Death Stats & More

In light of Randy Savage's passing on Friday due to an automobile accident in Seminole, Florida, a report was posted comparing WWE wrestler death stats to similar sized samples in other fields of sports and entertainment.

The report states that of the 51 talents who appeared at the 1991 WWE pay-per-view WrestleMania VII, 14 have died prematurely—"The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich, Dino Bravo, Andre the Giant, Joey Marella, "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, Mr. Perfect, Miss Elizabeth, Hawk, Hercules, Big Boss Man, Earthquake, Sensational Sherri, Crush and Randy Savage. This list does not include Gorilla Monsoon (62, natural causes) and Lord Alfred Hayes (76).

By comparison, of the 44 professional football players who started on both offense and defense at Superbowl XXV between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants, all remain alive.

For professional boxing, of the 44 boxers to hold a major world championship in 1991 (WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO), two are dead.

Of the 50 musicians to perform at the 1991 and 1992 Monsters of Rock festivals in England (an annual music festival which would attract the biggest names in hard rock and heavy metal music), all remain alive.

Bob's Opinion: What does Randy Savage's heart attack/car crash and Dino Bravo's murder have to do with it?

Cause Of Randy Savage's Death Unknown

An autopsy was completed yesterday on Randy Savage and the cause of death is still "pending," reports TMZ.com.

TMZ.com adds that the Medical Examiner in Pinellas County, Florida did not notice "extensive trauma" to his body while conducting the autopsy.

Toxicology results are expected to be released in four to six weeks. It was previously reported that the police didn't suspect that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Savage died in a car accident Friday in Seminole, Florida when his 2009 Jeep Wrangler veered across a concrete median, through oncoming traffic, and "collided head-on with a tree."

Savage was pronounced dead at Largo Medical Center while his wife Barbara Lynn suffered minor injuries.

Bob's Opinion: God bless Randy Savage for many years of great entertainment
