More on Kevin Nash's WWE Status

Word going around backstage is that Kevin Nash has a medical issue that is keeping him off Night of Champions and it will be cleared up, most likely, within a few weeks. While sources report that WWE won't have Nash wrestling, another believes Nash could be wrestling at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October.

James Storm Suffers Injury

James Storm made the announcement on his Twitter page that he's been diagnosed with a partial separation of his shoulder. He had been working through the pain, but doctors have told him that he should take it easy or else he'd be out of the ring for four to six weeks. That would take him out of TNA's Bound for Glory.

Chris Jericho Takes Another Shot At Punk

Former WWE star Chris Jericho took yet another shot at CM Punk on Twitter. Jericho tweeted on Monday night after RAW:


"Another Raw, another stolen move. I expect that from a rookie or a diva, but et tu Punk? BACK OFF...."


Chris Jericho tweeted the following back on August 1st after CM Punk mentioned his name during a promo on RAW:


"Everyone is so excited that @CMPunk mentioned me on Raw. Newsflash...I don't give a shit. Mind ur own business and stop rippin me off Punk."


Last week, when CM Punk and Steve Austin were going back and forth talking trash on Twitter, Jericho wrote:


"It's so cute reading @CMPunk and @steveaustinBSR 's lil cyber bitch-fights..."


Bob's Opinion: It appears the seeds are being planted for an eventual CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho feud down the road once Chris Jericho returns to the company - that's cool with me.

Update on Alberto Del Rio

WWE champion Alberto Del Rio was not at Raw last night due to the fact that he has returned to Mexico to secure a new work visa. The paperwork did not come through, which is why he was not back for Raw last night. Until the paperwork comes through, Del Rio will not be legally allowed to work in the United States. As of this time, the Del Rio vs. Sin Cara match is off of tonight's Super Smackdown taping.

Why Triple H is Wrestling CM Punk, Backstage News on Kevin Nash's WWE Future

WWE officials made the decision some time in the past week or so that Kevin Nash won't be wrestling for them. It's likely Nash will stick around for the time being and participate in the occasional angle but unless something changes, he won't be having a match. This is why CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash at Night of Champions was changed to Punk vs. Triple H. WWE knew going into RAW last night that Nash wouldn't be wrestling.


Nash recently went to Pittsburgh to do physicals for the company and something happened there that made them decide that they don't want Nash in the ring taking bumps and doing something as physical as a whole match. There is still some chance that Nash could end up wrestling but something happened after the physicals that have put a roadblack in front of Nash's return match.


The decision to put Triple H in the match with Punk wasn't made until yesterday. The original plans had Punk going over Nash at Night of Champions.

WWE Talent Worried Following Brand Consolidation

WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H announced on Raw that Superstars from SmackDown will be joining Monday nights for the foreseeable future. The "new concept," as described by Michael Cole, will be known as Raw SuperShow. According to PWInsider.com, the initiative has several wrestlers worried about their futures since it means less television time for those not in the upper crust.

Bare Breasts Shown During Raw In Canada

Following the Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly match on Raw, The Score in Canada accidentally cut to a feed of Eastbound and Down. During the brief cutaway, four seconds of bare-breasted women aired. The Score then briefly cut to a Steve Austin music video featuring "Somewhere Down in Texas" by George Strait before returning to the broadcast with the Alex Riley highlight video.

If you come to my site often then you know that sometimes as I watch wrestling that my mind drifts to other things, well actually those things always have something to do with wrestling but those things have more to do with the wrestlers themselves.

With speculation that Smackdown may be changing timeslots to a Tuesday night, the following WWE.com article is an interesting read:


“Even though Raw stands firm as the longest running episodic show on cable television, SmackDown’s edgy, often-controversial action has run the table on the latter part of the week for more than a decade; first on Thursdays, then on Fridays. With all it has accomplished, Teddy Long knows as much as anyone that there is no limit to where the show can go.”

Backstage Updates on Sin Cara and WWE

For those wondering, it was Hunico who wrestled as Sin Cara at this weekend's WWE live events and all signs point to him continuing as Sin Cara unless something changes.


Word is that people within WWE are telling Vince McMahon that Hunico may be the death of the Sin Cara character and because of merchandise sales, among other things, officials are afraid of having to drop the character. Vince was upset at both Hunico and the former Mistico at last week's tapings. Vince had received reports that the original Sin Cara still had the same cocky attitude and ego once he returned from suspension. According to a source, he didn't behave the way they wanted him to upon returning. Vince got the negative reports and made the decision to send the original Cara home.


It still has not been confirmed that WWE and the original Sin Cara, Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde, have parted ways.

SmackDown Stars at RAW Tonight

Tonight's WWE RAW takes place from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. WWE is teasing John Cena's response to Alberto Del Rio after last week's attack.


WWE is advertising that SmackDown stars Sheamus, Mark Henry, Christian, Sin Cara and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will be there. Cara will likely set up his match with WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio that takes place on Tuesday's live SmackDown special. For the local crowd, a three-way with CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio is being advertised.

Punk replied to that with, "no, but I do think I'm the only wrestler left that still would do it every week for thirty bucks. Sauce it."

Rey Mysterio Posts Update Following Surgery

Rey Mysterio underwent surgery Friday after sustaining an injury to his knee. He posted an update regarding his health on Twitter.


Mysterio wrote, "Morning to all! 24hrs after surgery at home recouperating! Pain is insane! Going crazy.. Thx 4 the support! 619 luv!"


The masked star blew out his knee, believed to be his ACL, while attempting a baseball slide during a match against Alberto Del Rio on last week's episode of Raw. There is talk that he may not be able to return to action until WrestleMania XXIII.

Update On Sin Cara Character - Original Wrestler Reportedly Loses Role

WWE sources indicate that Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde, the original Sin Cara, was sent home from Tuesday's SmackDown taping in Calgary, Alberta, Canada after meeting with company officials. He left the Scotiabank Saddledome before the event's conclusion.


Company sources say developmental talent Jorge Arias (a/k/a Hunico) will exclusively portray the Sin Cara character going forward. WWE wants to maintain the character since its been very popular among kids and in merchandise sales.


Many employees expect Alvirde to part ways with the organization, but that is not 100% confirmed.


WWE re-shot a match between Sin Cara and Heath Slater at Tuesday's taping since the initial bout featured numerous botched maneuvers. Aries portrayed Cara in both matches. Alvirde was dressed to compete, but management opted not to use him.

Shane Helms Arrested For DWI This Week

According to WRAL.com out of North Carolina, former WWE star Gregory Shane Helms was arrested earlier this week on August 24th at 8:27AM ET for a driving while impaired (DWI) arrest.


Here is what it says on the website:

Height: 6' 00"
Weight: 200
Sex: Male
Arrested: Aug 24, 2011, 8:27 a.m. in Smithfield by SMPD
Charges: Driving while impaired (Felony), Serious Injury by Vehicle (Felony)


Helms is scheduled for court on September 22. He wrote the following on Twitter the day of the arrest:


"Finally went and got photographed and processed for the charges stemming from my motorcycle accident. Quick and painless thankfully."

*Spoiler* Details On Jeff Hardy's TNA Return Angle Revealed

TNA held a double television taping on Thursday night from Huntsville, Alabama - and one of the more newsworthy happenings was the return of Jeff Hardy.


Hardy came out and cut a promo saying that The Network gave him a chance to address the fans of TNA.


Hardy apologized for his conduct at Victory Road, when he showed up "in no condition to perform" and his main event match against Sting had to be cut to les than 30 seconds. Jeff said that his personali issues "put the show in the toilet" and he knows he let everybody down.


Jeff asked everybody for one more chance - which got a huge "One More Chance" chant from the crowd.


Jeff placed the microphone down in the middle of the ring and exited to the back.


Jeff's return to TNA Impact Wrestling will take place in 2 weeks. Next week's show will feature the "Major Announcement" of Hardy appearing on the following week's show.


Bob's Opinion: I hope he is being honest in saying this and it's not just an angle

TNA have released Cookie (Becky Bayless) from the company today. She wrote on Twitter:
“Good morning booskis! New day & new twitter name…A big thank you to my TNA fam & fans, but it’s time to move on…excited for what’s next!”


“Thanks for all the support! No worries, I’ll be making my PPV return for @WSUWrestling Nov 19! And they actually let me wrestle there!:P”


It’s possible that this was a mutual departure as Bayless is said to have not been happy with her role.

CM Punk and Steve Austin have been having an entertaining feud on Twitter. Here’s what they’ve said so far:


Austin joked about Zack Ryder drinking Bud Lime, which Punk replied saying lime is used “to make it not taste like piss” and that beer is “still poison.”


Austin responded: “you oughta mind your own business…stay focused on Nash and leave the beer drinking to me…Punk.”


Punk then replied: “focus is my middle name…Steven.”

Website Publishes Major Expose On Ric Flair - "The Wrestler in Real Life"

Grantland.com, a sports and pop culture affiliated with ESPN.com, has published a major expose on Ric Flair comparing him to a real life version of The Wrestler. In the 2008 film, Mickey Rourke plays Randy "The Ram" Robinson, an aging professional wrestler who continues to compete in spite of his failing health in an attempt to cling on to his glory days.


In tremendous detail, the article examines the wrestling legend's personal struggles, financial issues and allegations of physical abuse by his ex-wives. The story states that Flair continues to perform for TNA Wrestling despite suffering from alcoholic cardiomyopathy (a heart problem) and that almost everything he earns from the "second-tier outfit" goes toward paying off old debts: lawyers, ex-wives, the IRS, former business partners and "anyone who made the mistake of lending him money."


In April, a judge evicted Flair from his home in Charlotte, North Carolina because he couldn't afford to pay rent.


The author notes that Flair declined to be interviewed for the article.

There is lots of heat on Jeff Hardy right now for announcing on Twitter this week that he was returning at tonight's Impact Wrestling tapings in Huntsville, Alabama. TNA had wanted to keep Hardy's return a surprise until tonight but when Hardy announced it on Twitter, they went ahead and announced it on their website.


Many people in the company were wondering if this was Jeff's "screw you" to TNA after they released his brother Matt Hardy.


Regarding Matt's release, the call came directly from the top of the company - Bob, Janice and Dixie Carter. Dixie heard about Matt's arrest while she was on the road with TNA in Georgia and became very upset. TNA had been planning on bringing back both Matt and Jeff together in time for Bound For Glory.

Bob's Opinion: Well the drama seems to always follow the Hardys, or do they bring it with them?

Be Ready

One of the businesses that I have taken upon myself to start is a lawn service that I took over when my father decided to retire. Now when I first took it over I just thought that, no big deal, just cut grass and trim. Well I found out in short order that it has a lot more to it then just that.


Now I find myself working on the equipment more then I even thought anyone would have to do. So I decided if I was going to do this, I was going to do it right. So the first thing I did was invest in a set of tools that I still believe will take care of the entire repair and maintenance needs.


The main tools that I invested in were, socket wrenches, screwdrivers, and adjustable wrenches. Now I am finding my lawn service life a bit easier to manage, now that I have the proper tools to take care of almost anything that comes my way. So let me suggest to you, friends, that you be prepared if you find yourself in a similar situation and buy the tools that you will need to keep your work life a bit easier then it is now.

JC: Was it hard to keep a straight face when Kevin Nash called you a ‘‘short-order cook . . . from a Waffle House’’ on ‘‘Raw’’ last week?


CMP: I don’t think I did . . . he’s completely out of touch.


JC: What was it really like winning the WWE Championship in front of a hometown crowd at Allstate Arena back in July?


CMP: I don’t have the words to explain the gravity of that situation. The love I got from Chicago was astounding. I know it sounds cliché and corny, but no words. Words couldn’t do it justice.

Just Do It

For those of you that come to my site on a regular basis, you know that my wife and I are involved in several business ventures. Wanting these businesses to thrive and attract as many customers as possible, we have decided to hire an advertising agency, as there is nothing that can help build a business up then just the right kind of advertising platform.


We have tried doing this ourselves, over and over again, until now when we finally decided to put it in the hand of the professionals, although we will keep our eyes on the work that’s being done ourselves, as we have to be pleased with what they come up with as well.


We are really looking forward to moving our business onto the next step and possibly jumping into a whole new world for us, and my wife thought, and I agreed, that this is definitely the way to go. Update On Matt Hardy's Phone Number Flap, Girlfriend Comments On His Troubles

The phone number Matt Hardy posted last night on Twitter isn't his, but rather, is registered to a man that lives near his residence in Cameron, North Carolina.


Hardy wrote to Reby Sky, his girlfriend, that his cell phone stopped functioning and for her to call him through his home phone number.


Reby, meanwhile, answered numerous queries related to Hardy's recent troubles on her Formspring account.


Will this get Matty to stop tweeting/txting and driving?

Backstage Updates on Kevin Nash in WWE

Kevin Nash made it clear last week at RAW that he was not going to do his promos by reading from a script. Nash tried doing it that way the first time and got lost. Nash said he would only take bullet points from now on and Triple H backed him up on it.


On a related note, Nash was joking to his friends about CM Punk, making fun of how small he was when Nash picked him up for the powerbomb a few weeks back.
